Some time ago, my charming wife Sarah agreed to my purchase of a project car. She provided seed money and some general expectations of what the car should and should not be. Her main criteria for selection were that the car should not be a Ford and that it should have a pleasing body style. As I understand it, she was terribly frightened by a 1964 Galaxie 500 as a child and has never liked Fords since. Additionally, Sarah and her mother both worked at Farmer’s Chevrolet in Holly Hill, SC. These two factors probably contribute to her dislike of anything Dearborn produced.
